Spring
It’s finally that time of year again, spring is among us. Finally! As many of you know I like to start either a holiday season or any time of year with a featured piece. I decided to start it off with spring it almost being Easter, and April is almost here. It feels just like yesterday it was the month of January. I felt January had dragged on and on and it was super endless.
Well, guys, spring is here. Even though the weather has been completely bipolar. And I know here soon it won't be so bad. And now that spring is among us, new relationships start to bloom (really it’s just something in the damn air) am I wrong? No, I’m not. It’s a commonly known fact, and well it’s science. No lie, during the winter everyone decides to hibernate. No one is crazy enough to go out into the cold, to go on a date or two. Or to “single and mingle” I mean once again am I wrong? No I’m not, I didn’t think so. Even people who are in a relationship, or married stay home. Or when the newness of dating someone wears off, which it always does. It’s like a new toy, you’re all about this new toy. And eventually the “new” wears off and sometimes you throw that toy to the side and you find a new toy to play with. I’ll go back to that statement here shortly.
But when it comes to that single guy or single girl are hormones play into act, and when it’s the first official day of spring, when everything really starts to bloom, everyone's hormones go crazy! And again, it’s in our DNA, it’s science and science or DNA doesn’t lie. You can tell me I’m wrong, but I’m really not wrong. And I’m really not trying to be such a girl, but right now I’m smiling. Maybe it’s the spring air, maybe it’s finally because when it gets dark out it’s not until 8 P.M. I mean I don’t get me wrong, I love it when it’s not dark until 9. And I love summer but I love spring more. Ever since I was a kid. I’ve always been about spring time, and the other season I love is fall (duh pumpkin everything) and with spring its everything in bloom. Flowers in bloom, love is in the air. It happens when two people to vibe so well between each other. It doesn’t happen over night, but the older I get the more I noticed that vibing with someone new either happens right away, I mean by just talking with someone new for a couple of days, or you just don’t and can’t vibe with someone, I’ve learned never to force it.
It’s when you hear a song, it reminds you of the person that you are currently thinking about (don’t deny it, you were just doing it) everyone does it, even if you are married, in a relationship, it can be something brand new that you never expected to happen. I even catch myself doing it. I mean how do you think I was able to write my first novel? When you finally hear that one song that makes you think of the person you are thinking about, or that person you cannot get out of your head, it will be at the most random time, as you’re listening to it, you can’t help but smile, and then you get on your phone to download this song. Because not only you like this song, but you want to play this song again and again, some of us will actually send the song to the person that they are thinking about, if we are brave enough. And some of us are, some of us are not. I’ve always learned to take chances, if you don’t that chance will be gone to express how you really feel. And that one person who you are currently thinking about, they will move on to the next person and well I mean it happens.
Now to go back to my statement from earlier, with newness being like a new toy, and that newness eventually wears off. It happens a lot more than what we want it to. I mean come on, it’s brand new, it’s nothing like we have ever had before. It’s shiny, it’s different (not talking about a toy anymore) and this happens a lot more with males than it does females, or maybe I’m wrong because I am a true hopeless romantic. And with what I have always experienced. But with a toy, and relationship you’ll get sick of it, and throw it to the side and move on to the next toy or person. Because for any reason you will find any reason not to play with this toy anymore. It happens, again science and DNA plays into all of this.
So, enjoy spring. Before we know it, summer will be here. And you know what happens in Summer, shit gets a lot more crazier and hotter, and all hell starts to break loose, good and bad.
